Each fish/bird is individually mounted to the wall using stainless steel pins fixed to the back of each piece. A full-size installation template is provided, showing the exact placement location for every piece.

Position the template on the wall where you would like the artwork installed, then drill through the marked locations on the template using a 2mm drill bit.

Each piece is individually numbered from 1 through to the final piece. Once drilling is complete, remove the template from the wall and use it as a guide to match the holes with the corresponding numbered artwork pieces for installation.

Anyone who can use a small drill can install Sally's wall installations, but if you don't feel confident we can recommend an installer in Auckland. Outside of Auckland you could get a professional art installer to do it for you.

Yes, Sally believes it is important to get an art installation the right scale for the space it is going into. If you provide a photo and dimensions of the wall you have in mind, Sally is able to scale the work to suit. When an existing design is made bigger, all the pieces grow proportionally in size. Sally can also design custom works as well.  

The bird and fish installations can be made in aluminium, stainless steel or bronze. Please see Finishes page under Sally Smith.

You can pack the artwork and send it back to Sally to have re-templated at your cost.
